Job Title: Contract Organizer
Location: AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, NJ, NY, OR, PA, TX, WA, WI
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract
Pay: $40/hr

About Our Revolution
Our Revolution was born from Bernie Sanders’ 2016 campaign and is now the largest grassroots progressive political organization in the U.S. We’re organizing to take on corporate power, fight for climate and racial justice, elect champions who walk the walk—not just talk the talk—and transform politics from the bottom up.

We’re building a national network of local groups, organizers, and everyday people ready to take power back. Sound like your kind of revolution?

The Role
We’re hiring Organizers who are ready to jump in and lead from day one. Whether you’ve led campus actions, organized town halls, knocked doors, or mobilized online—this is your chance to go big and help grow a powerful national progressive base.

You’ll recruit, train, and mobilize volunteers, connect with community leaders, drive campaigns forward, and use digital tools to fuel real-world action.

This job is ideal for passionate changemakers ready to organize across platforms and move people to action on the issues that matter most.

What You’ll Do
Engage and Mobilize Volunteers

  • Recruit and train grassroots volunteers and activists.
  • Build real relationships that keep people engaged for the long haul.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts like phone/text banks, rallies, and events.

Run Real Campaigns

  • Help power progressive issue and electoral campaigns from start to finish.
  • Mobilize support for candidates, ballot measures, and local initiatives.
  • Show up where it counts—online and on the ground.

Use Digital Tools to Organize at Scale

  • Promote events, actions, and campaigns via email, text, and social media.
  • Use tools like Mobilize, Action Network, and NGP VAN to organize smarter.
  • Keep volunteer info organized so we can level up together.

Develop the Next Wave of Leaders

  • Identify and mentor grassroots leaders in communities nationwide.
  • Help build sustainable local groups and community power.
  • Lead trainings, workshops, and strategy sessions.

Coordinate Events & Help Tell the Story

  • Help organize virtual and in-person events—rallies, town halls, fundraisers.
  • Draft engaging content (emails, graphics, flyers) to fire people up.
  • Support press and communications efforts that amplify our work.

You’d Be a Great Fit If You…

  • Believe in the mission. You’re all in for progressive values—economic justice, racial justice, climate action, healthcare for all, and real democracy.
  • Have organizing experience (1+ year paid or volunteer is ideal—but if you’ve led on your campus, community, or online, that counts too).
  • Communicate like a leader. You’re a great listener and can speak clearly and confidently with people from all walks of life.
  • Know your way around digital tools. Familiarity with organizing platforms like Action Network, Mobilize, Zoom, or VAN is a big plus.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, flexible environments. You’re proactive, can manage your time, and are cool with working evenings and weekends when the work demands it.
  • Want to grow. You see this as a launchpad for deeper work in organizing, campaigns, or movement-building.

What You’ll Get

  • Monthly compensation: $5,000 – $7,000, depending on experience
  • A full-time, high-impact role with a dynamic, mission-driven team
  • Opportunity to make a real difference in progressive politics and movement work
  • A chance to grow your skills and leadership in a national grassroots network
